Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 29, 2026

1. The short version

Sysvia is built to keep your files and your computers on your own network. Your files, clipboard contents, and keystrokes travel directly between your devices and never pass through Sysvia’s servers. We only handle the account and contact details described below.

2. What we collect

Through this website and your Sysvia account we collect:

  • Account details: your email address and a password (stored by our authentication provider as a hash, never in plain text).
  • Purchase details: your license status and billing records. Card payments are handled by our payment processor; we do not see or store your full card number.
  • Messages you send us: the name, email address, optional phone number, and message from our contact form.
  • Feedback and requests: what you write, plus an email address if you choose to give one. Optional details like your name and role are only shown publicly if you agree to that when you submit.
  • Waitlist details: your email address, if you join the waitlist.
  • Basic technical data: like IP address and browser type, which our hosting and security services process to deliver the site and block abuse.

3. What stays on your devices

When Sysvia syncs files, shares your clipboard, or shares a keyboard and mouse between your computers, that traffic is sent directly between your devices over your local network and is encrypted in transit. It is not sent to us, and we cannot read it.

4. How we use it

  • To create and secure your account, and to verify your license in the app.
  • To process purchases and provide billing support.
  • To reply to your messages and to review feedback and feature requests.
  • To send account and service emails, such as sign-up confirmation. We do not sell your personal information.
  • To keep the site secure and prevent spam and abuse.

5. Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run Sysvia. They process data only to provide their service to us:

  • Supabase, for authentication and our database.
  • Netlify, for hosting the website and running its server functions.
  • Stripe, for payments and billing.
  • Resend, for sending email.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile, for bot protection on forms and sign-in.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and Sysvia.

6. Cookies and local storage

We group cookies into three kinds. You choose which optional kinds to allow in the banner on your first visit, and you can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings. We also honor the Global Privacy Control signal by keeping marketing cookies off.

  • Essential. Keep you signed in (secure, HttpOnly session cookies; if you tick “remember me” the session lasts up to 30 days), protect against abuse, and remember your cookie choice (sysvia_consent, 180 days). These cannot be turned off.
  • Analytics (optional). Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*) record which pages you visit, what you click, and how far you scroll, so we can improve the site.
  • Marketing (optional). Meta Pixel cookies (_fbp, _fbc) and our own sysvia_attribution cookie (90 days) record which campaign or site sent you here, so we can measure our advertising.

We never set analytics or marketing cookies before you agree. Until then, Google Analytics runs in a restricted mode that sets no cookies and stores no identifiers: it receives only an anonymous page-view signal (page address, referrer, and approximate region from your IP address, which Google does not store) so we can count visits. We do not run any tracking on the sign-in, sign-up, checkout, or dashboard pages.

7. How long we keep it

We keep account and purchase records for as long as your account exists and as needed for accounting and legal obligations. Contact messages and feedback are kept for as long as they are useful for support and product decisions, then deleted.

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to close your account. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. To make a request, use our contact page. We will respond within a reasonable time.

9. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable providers to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

Sysvia is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

11. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know by email or on the site.
